Head wraps are heavenly, there’s no doubt about it. One of our favorites is a very special design created by fellow black girl brand, Unwrp!  In March of this year, with the launch of our Papaya Castor collection, we partnered with the company to create a custom silk scarf, inspired by the new line. Unwrp offers luxury wrapping paper in striking colors, and their silk gift wrap can double as a fashion or head scarf! Pretty cool, right?

We love seeing the unique ways that a wrap can be used to adorn the hair, so we’re taking a moment to provide style inspiration via a couple of our Curlfriends who wrapped their tresses with this custom scarf!

1. The Bow

@kittkettle

Throw your hair up into a pineapple! Next, wrap the scarf around your head, tying its ends into a bow at the front. Then, voila! Look complete! A major perk of this style is that it doesn’t have to be neat to look fabulous! It’s the perfect ‘do for those days where you just don’t have the time. Try adding a few spritzes of the Hibiscus Honey Hair Tonic to help refresh + provide quick nourishment!

2. The Triple Threat

@thevillage_baddie

Two high buns + a headband make a great hair day! Part your hair down the center, separating into two sections. Add a little moisture (we suggest using the Papaya Castor Nourishing Curl Jam), then tie each half up into a bun. For a shine boost, rub the Papaya Castor Conditioning Hairdress between your fingertips, and smooth it along the hair to help keep the style sleek, and frizz-free.

3. The Protector

@kittkettle

Goodbye bonnet! Wrap the scarf around your head turban-style, for a much cuter alternative to protect your hair as you sleep. Or, wear this look out

! It’s bold, beautiful, and it will keep your curls protected all day long without anyone knowing what’s going on underneath the scarf! You could even use it to disguise a deep conditioning session!

In the comments below, be sure to tell us which style is your favorite!

See you next time!
