This year marks the 14th anniversary of the founding of EDEN BodyWorks. I’m immensely proud of the impact the team has made and continue to be optimistic about the future that lies ahead. Now that I’ve spent more than half my life at the helm of this organization, I’d like to share some thoughts on the journey thus far, where we’re going, and what keeps us moving.
Some of you may be familiar with the story, but for those who aren’t, I founded EDEN BodyWorks as a teenager after facing my own challenges with managing my natural hair and understanding my value beyond my looks. I had two goals in mind when I set out to start my own company. First, I wanted to share the natural products I created and healthy hair tips I had learned through research with women around the world. Second, I wanted to encourage, support and empower people to pursue their best, happiest, healthiest lives regardless of what challenges they faced. What started with a hair oil made in my kitchen, has transformed into dozens of products available around the world and thousands of people who have been reached by a message of compassion, self-love, and encouragement.
It can be easy to get comfortable after hitting milestones of success and reaching goals that didn’t seem possible years ago, but that is not what we’re going to do. I’m excited that the team remains passionate about our mission to integrate wellness and beauty and provide the natural products that people around the world need. As our portfolio and product family grows, you’ll see a fresh new look and new places to find us, but also a consistent commitment to quality and philanthropy.

Congratulations! Going natural after relaxing my hair for 28 years was exciting and scary at the same time. There are so many products on the market and I was unsure of what would work for my curl pattern. I didn’t even know about curl patterns until recently! As a child, you either had soft hair or hard/nappy hair. I still haven’t mastered the concept yet, but your products have helped me to style and maintain my natural hair regardless. I wish you continued success and look forward to seeing your “family” grow even more!
Congrats on 14 years! I’ve used your products since they’ve come out (Cocoshea Line) and an happy to see your company grow! I’ve recently tried the Almond Marshmallow line and I am ecstatic with this line!!!! I absolutely love it! Please come out with a shampoo and conditioner for this line. The hair masque is the best hair masque that I’ve ever used and I’ve used a lot of hair masque!!! It’s just the right consistency for my hair. Others I’ve tried are either too thick or too watery but this one is an exact match! Thank you and again congrats!
