I had my first relaxer at the thick-haired age of 4. Having two little girls under the age of 2, my mother didn't have all the helpful resources we have now for maintaining natural hair, so she "Just For Me'd" our kinks. In 2009, I began to travel the path of self-discovery. I wanted to know who I was, who I was created to be. That is when I decided to stop relaxing my hair, and since becoming natural I have gained more confidence in myself. And I've also learned about self-love. I fully accept myself for the way God created me with every kink and curl.
